Federal Hall National Memorial was once the location of the very first Congress, Supreme Court and Executive Branch offices and is considered the "birthplace of American government". It is now a museum and memorial to President George Washington, featuring the Washington Inaugural Gallery, a visitor information center, and museum store. Free guided and self-guided tours are availabe weekdays.
